If you're thinking of ways of inspiring your family or friends with Advent spirit, remember that the current downloaded version of Universalis will work free of charge, without needing a registration code, until the end of December. Picking a short Hour to look at each day might be a good companion to opening an Advent Calendar. The download page is http://www.universalis.com/n-download.htm.
There's a revised and corrected version of the database, and you'll notice that there are some Prayers and Intercessions for Vespers for the first week of Advent: I hope that there will be a lot more by the time we get to next Advent.
There have been some corrections to the calendar of the Saints: in particular, a kind correspondent from Greece has pointed out a source for the Second Readings of Saint Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin (9 December) and Our Lady of Guadalupe (12 December): the second of these, in particular, is a beautiful story and well worth reading even if you don't normally do the Office of Readings.
If you're using Universalis on the Web then you will see these changes automatically. If you are using the downloaded version then you should download the latest software from
and install it on top of your existing software. You should not need to re-enter your registration code.
